Finally got my WHM to 90. It was at 80 and I've been using it more often so I decided to just finish leveling it in a pickup party. Anyway, I hate pickup parties because no one has atma (and half of them don't have cruor buffs...), so I decided to screw it an melee on WHM. I subbed RDM and just did VV RR DD, my MP was fine and I was generally doing 1500-2.5k hexas, aka more than the entire alliance. On my 85 WHM. Anyway, people were yelling at me because people in my pt kept on dying, except that it was the one WAR who decided he wanted to attack Megamaw and would then (literally, he either had AaO on or no HP cruor buff) get one shotted by stone5. I decided I was JP and didn't say anything back.

I hate pickup parties.

A little backstory:
We're doing CC lanterns because shut up. Some people come and say they need one Cep-Kamuy, I'm in a bad mood and we were there first so I said no. They respond with a "that's too bad" in which case it clearly was on. So we pop one, they get the next one and all their melee die (it was, of all things, a RDM, a SAM, a PLD/NIN, and a WAR). The RDM kites it and is all "now I'm going to hold it." 15 minutes and 10% later, she dies and we claim it. I fail like a boss and get killed by seismic tail along with our NIN, and he goes passive and our war vokes, except he has KI. So we were going to let him die but he ran after me, so we just decided to kill him. Tank dies again from current (lol) so we just nuke it to death. Then, this happens. (After this fact, they popped one and killed it, took 30 minutes and at least 3 deaths from everyone, 10+ from WAR).

So anyway, I did all day Misereux on Saturday. We did mainly boss farming, it was sort of fun. Some highlights:

Ahmuluk is not a very fun fight. He's easy but he resists magic so it takes a while to kill it >_>.

In the end, I ended up getting a +2 set for my BLU...except I don't have the +1 legs yet >_> nothing was dropping them. Oh well.

Finished up my MDT set, sort of. I think Lamia mantle +1 is better on back, and I need to get +1 coral/ coral visor. That, and then twilight torque.

Got MM. It was a very easy fight. People forgot pop items so it ended up taking a little longer than we thought though.

Got RR as well. Kited the first one for like 10 mins, then decided to stop and just straight tank and proc red. Second one we just straight tanked and killed it in like 5 mins. Got RR as well.

To finish off this lightly worded post, got a pickup party on NIN, VV/RR/DarkDepths (+30% crit rate). I DC'd two hours in after I got one level, since no one was opening ruby chests and we were in tahrongi. That, and I was tanking at level 75/6, and everyone in the party failed at knowing anything about gearing their jobs. Sigh.

Cactuses and Bosses, oh my! (also, Dynamis)

Yeah yeah yeah blah blah blah

Kutharei was laughably easy, the only mildly dangerous thing is the 1HP and hate reset move, but he only used it twice and never followed it with an -aga.

Dynamis was easy as well, we got the Dchap ~30 mins in and TH armlets ~70 mins, after that we wanted to stop (since that was all we needed) so we just did the NIN NM for Sonka, and ended up getting those anyway lol.

We have gotten 2 Ares body and one 25/35 set, one full Morrigan coat and 2 35s. lolsalvage etc, but 4 people can do any zone full farm + boss (except Bhaflau due to ramparts - can do 2 + boss).

Sedna and Itzapshjiaosufisaljasiudf were both dumb. WHM + any DD can duo Sedna, he was stupid easy with 4. I can solo Itz on BLU, with 4 it's a complete joke. I didn't take any pictures, but we also did the Uleguerand boss. It was an easy manaburn fight with BLM RDM BLU BRD, also had another BLM under 50%. Tarsal slam was dodged most of the time, and his TP moves really only did like ~300 damage.

The Grauberg boss was slightly harder, mainly because he double attacks 100% of the time and had instant cast gas. We did NIN RDM/NIN RDM/NIN BRD SAM, I got killed by painful whip for ~1200 at like 90% though lol. After I unweakened, he was at like 15% so I chainspelled and killed him (2 atmad bliz4 took off ~3-4% each). Funny story, there was an 18 person shout alliance killing Melo Melo so they could pop the boss after us - it was at 80% when we got there, it was at 87% when we left.

After this run, I got my 7th boss for my 3rd lunar, so now the game becomes broken. I can 2 shot any regular mob with Bliz4, 2 shot any number of mobs with Whisker etc. We procced grellow on all of them except sedna, because he spams TP moves and it'd suck to do AMs etc.

We also did Chickarney (sp, the cock) in altepa for seals, and he was harder than any of these bosses....We had a THF tank, but she got killed a few times because of 1shot hammer beak, and that NM is a biiitch. Under 25% he hit for ~700 damage in a -31/6% PDT set, critted for 1050 and he has 100% double attack. Luckily he can be kited pretty easily, and 7 shadows on BLU is insane for that fight.

That's all I think, and back to school for me so I won't be doing much. lol

FUUUUUU MASAMUNE

So we did La Thiene yesterday. I always told Kets that I (and the rest of our little group) would gladly do an Empyrean for him, and I guess he finally found that to be true. We entered the area at like 1PM and ended around 3AM, because everyone was getting lazy and we wanted to go to sleep (around 2, Dom started hysterically laughing and didn't stop until we left; he hasn't logged on today yet).

Setup this time:
NIN/WAR, WAR/NIN, THF/NIN, RDM/WHM, WHM/RDM.

We ended up getting ~12 Carby gems, 2 bullwhips, 2 serpentes, 2 lady panties, a pair of heafoc mitts (got blue, no katana =/ ), and then atma/win from Bria and Carb.

All the NMs were lol except for Carb, mainly because our WHM was afk for 2-3 runs. It SUCKS being the only healer on WHM, Aeroga III does an insane amount of damage, and I don't have high tier curagas.

Housekeeping stuff: ~~my controller is still not here, so I'm stuck being relatively useless~~ (edit: nvm it just came in lol). We also did attohwa a few days ago and completed ~8 sets of +1.

This week, in Abyssea!

So I finally got my laptop up and running, with all expansion packs loaded. Since that was the case, I could actually do Abyssea this weekend (omgyay)! The downside is that I don't have my PC->PS2 controller adapter yet, so I'm stuck using crappy keyboard/mouse which I'm not used to (that's why in all these pictures I have gimp non-ideal gear, because I couldn't swap anything). I did get spellcast though solely for aliases so I could just spam //cure5 ket (which is all I did). Anyway, a quick write up of what we did in Konshscnsaifgaislknfcat this week.

Setup:

*Fyre fell asleep before we did any NMs, lol.

Misc. NMs:

Gangly Gean (omgcutetreant): Helm is like a 100% drop, I even got one of them. Even with blue, only got 1 NIN neck though. =( Did get everyone key items though.

Khalamari: Got atma and Vagina Helm, which I got because everyone already had it (procced blue, no neck, see a trend?) Procced blue with hexa like a boss.

Depths Digester: T2 VNM, really only for getting to T3. We got stuff but no one cared. Note how I managed to type a message to Carste in the middle of the fight. Yeah.

Turul:

What. A. Bitch. He's really not hard, his stupid spikes for some reason just lasted for literally like 5 minutes one time, omgsucksucksuck. Anyway, his agas hurt and thank God I was on WHM and not something like BLU. We procced blue once out of three times, got cape but no body -_-. Also got Atma, nice for people who don't have the windy one, and acts as a seconds atma for my WHM. Tbh this fight would have been easier with NIN RDM WHM and no one else, it's a pain having 2-3 people in range for -gas....

Funny story: Nearly wiped at 1% the time we procced blue, he went into rape mode and did calamitous wind -> -ga4 and killed everyone except me. I kited it and Kets RRd and Jin'd it to death. Go WHM kiter I guess?

Hadal Satiator:

I have to preface this with a funny story. We were looking for Turul and couldn't find it, so we just decided to pop the T3 VNM. Anyway, Turul, being the paragon of party crashing, decided to find us IMMEDIATELY AFTER WE POPPED THE NM and aggro our TANK of all people. At least this NM is stupid easy to kite, so we just kited until Kets became unweakened. Triggered atma but no blue, which is weird since we got (basically) full drops anyway. The atma is now awesome, since RDM and BLU get Bliz 4/5 respectively. That would imply my RDM is 90 though, which it is not >_>;

So overall, awful run but not too bad lol. We did get a KK popset and an EE, so we'll probably get those atmas/wins later. VV would be nice for my BLU lol.

These are out of order (well, the order I'd like them) but idc really lol.

RDM:

RDM MND build. Main things I need include Karka/6mnd rings, muse tariqah, promise badge (I have one, but don't have room in macro), augur body (getting it once I get WotG back, since he's on a 15m respawn now), teal chapeau (I really should use this, have it already lol), and a second MND earring. A lot =(

Swap HQ staff and uggy if applicable. Need +2 legs, a better back/waist, eradico mitts, novio (lol), witchstone, artemis medal, +1/2 AF3 hat. Also mangina staves.

Haste. Trying for a RDM body, but I feel bad doing glacier since we don't need anything else there >_> (the 5 man group I'm in is easily capable of doing any zone). Back should be Umbra Cape, macro still had cheviot in it lol. Also nashira legs, and HQ dusk (not going to happen). Perhaps sentinal's shield, but I rather like my earth staff.

Lolmdt. A rather gimp set as I've never really had to use it. I don't know if hexerei is better than lamia +1 back, but I have both. Need merman's earrings x2, resolute belt, coral visor +1, greaves +1, and maybe body and legs +1. Funny note, it took me like 3 months to find a kebbie lol.

Idle, omg a decent set! Body is Pluviale, if that wasn't obvious. All I really need here is serpentes boots (which I'll get soon), an augmented dark ring and some PDT earrings. That and Goliard Trews or Crimson legs, whichever.

Other RDM sets include:
Enhancing (really just duelist hands + warlock legs)
SS, capped at 380.
Full enfeeb set, warlock body/dchap/torque/macc/int gear.
A melee set with lolkogglemander, lol.
PDT set, which is basically just idle with darksteel harness and cap +1. Need a big upgrade.

BLU:

Crap. Need orc helm or something else, ire torque (+1), triumph/vulcan earrings, +1AF body, heafoc mitts, stirgoi/+6 rings (or another +5 >_>), Mavi +1/2 legs (I will get those soon, didn't bother getting anything else before then). Also better swords, see TP.

Casting, specifically regurgitation. I looooove this set. Anyway, need morry robe, morry hands/AF3 +1/2, novio, +6 int ring, and basmak (feet) +2. Also artemis' medal.

Casting idle, used when I'm only nuking/grellow proccing. Pretty simple, needs more pdt and serpentes feet though.

TP build. Swords are a big problem. I generally use hannibal/koggle in Abby since I have temps/ISL/atmas, outside I use koggle/demon slayer. I'm working on a DEX shamshir, and there are some nice new 85-90 swords out, so I may just get those. I HATE magian trials.... Anyway, also need Mavi head +2, some better neck, brutal/suppa/attk+6 earring, dusk+1/homam hands, toreador/rajas ring, cuch mantle, velo/bullwhip/goading belt, mavi +2 legs. (I actually just got homam feet, so pretend those are there).

Other builds include:
Sanguine Blade, STR/MAB/INT
Idle melee build, just puts on serp hands and nodowa.
Magic fruit build, MND/potency, with and without staff
Macc build for 1k needles, MP drainkiss etc.
Head Butt build (haste/blu skill/macc/acc)

I'm redoing my macroes so that each spell now has a separate casting build, so that way I can stack up modifiers depending on the spell.

Due to someone Q.Qing over something to do with an update, here I am.

Misc. things first; I sort of decided to level to SCH. I say "sort of" because it is currently stuck at 51 because I simply can't level RDM. T_T It's funny because my "dead zone" of jobs seems to be 50-55 (BRD54, BLU53, SCH51), which are right below colibri range. I just can't stand non LS exp, it's just horrible when you end up having a party where your SAM fights a crab without telling anyone and then dies, HPs, says something angry and then disbands. Trust me, that was the least of my problems on RDM...but enough about that lol.

One of the reasons I chose SCH was for the fact that I could solo/duo up to 75, albeit slightly slower than regular ToAU EXP. The upside of this, however, is that I don't have to deal with people like the SAM above. The other reason I chose SCH is that it will allow me to be a hybrid healer in cases like ZNMs/misc. events I do in SoTW. I'd say that about half our fights end up being manaburns due to low TP gain/mob mechanics, so SCH allows me to act as a DD for part of the fight, and switch to support later if needed. I still love WHM, but nearly killing myself so I can nuke Iriz Ima with Misery isn't nearly as fun as it sounds after the 10th time (whenever I duo with Kets and need to get hit to charge Misery, I call it "charging my lasers"; sadly enough I actually end up nuking a lot on easier mobs).

Speaking of SoTW, I'll move on to the most exciting part of the post! Also, note who kills it: Holy is my friend at 1% >_> <_<

Also not pictured: The 15-20 hours (and 8 merits) to took me to dual box a Diorite, and the 3 hours it took to guide people up Ru'Avitau to kill Ulli after I had made many people confuzzled about the specifics of the night.

Anyway, first SoTW god fight! It went incredibly smooth (the fight at least, not getting there; can you say WHM sac pull?) and even put out a pair of pants! As greedy as I felt, since I farmed the popset...

I'm currently at 12k to 75...and like half the areas for Campaign are lolfortifications. I may wait until next Sunday to ding, but I really want haidate+turban!

Oh, forgot to mention this as well: Finished 3 paths on Thursday! Next week is airship fight, so wish us luck!

On the list of incredibly minor things I did recently, I finished the "Beast of the East" quest. The final cutscene was incredible (and funny), as most WoTG quests are.

And I think thats about it. @_@ I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but whatever.

That makes us 2/3 on Hagun the past 3 weeks and 1/3 on KA. =) Plus the ToD is getting earlier and earlier which makes it easier for me to just wake up and camp him.

Obligatory Maintenance Update

Woot! This past weekend, I gathered a small group of LS members to take down Haku for me and Seth. We managed to "6.5 man" him (I was 2-boxing Kets), and it was actually really easy. I felt bad though, as I kind of let Xean die since I was busy WSing on Kets when he got triple attacked. >_>; Oh well.

Other misc. things:

Well, as of a couple of weeks ago, I have decided to level my BLU to 60. I've managed to get it from 47-51 off pets (I'm stuck at 51 now since I can't seem to log on early enough to get Kets to PL me; I suck at pulling so I usually link the master >_>;;;;;), and hopefully I can continue to solo up to 60.

The main reason that I wanted to level this job is twofold...first off, Kets and a couple of LS members recently got Sea. I've always been a slow mission person (except RotZ, LS static burned it in 2 days ^^) , so I'm in no rush, but I've always wanted to finish CoP. I hate when people ask for help with things that I can't do (i.e. shark organs, later missions, jailers/Ix's etc.) because I don't have that area unlocked. I know that it's a very small window of events, but I still would like to be able to do as much as possible to benefit the LS. Plus, I've always wanted every area, and since I already have Sky, guess what I'm missing? (I'll give you a hint, it's Sea) BLU brings to the table a powerful DD, a stunner, a backup healer, and more importantly, not NIN or WHM <_<;.

So why does that matter? Well, the ACP body isn't really that good for WHM (Fast Cast+5 and some random crappy augment like enmity-5 since I don't care about that stat), but it's relatively nice for NIN (acc and DW). I'm pretty sure I'll get the Redingote when I finish it this weekend (hopefully), but I may drop it when NIN gets 75 for the Waldercors. Anyway, the point is that it's also good for NIN. But, the main main point is that I got this earring from the Fei'Yin BCNM (there's something that I accidentaly took a picture of in this; kudos to you if you can see it):

As far as I know, the only earrings you'd use for spells are Triumph/other stat enhancing piece. If I can manage to get one Triumph, I could probaby let this slide in the other slot for added effect proc rate.

But anyway, while I'm talking about ACP...last weekend Kets set up a static for the mission. It contained:

We started off with the goblins. It probably took us ~1 hour to get the item for everyone, and then ~1 hour to kill the NM. The mandragoras were a joke...one blizzaga 1 did 580+ damage to all of them and basically pwnt them. They seemed to take like 2.5x damage from elemental nukes, but I think my Banishga II did about the usual damage =(. I feel bad for the melees though; they would target a mob and then it would die from an -aga lol.

The Fei'yin fight was...interesting lol. About 30 seconds into the battle while me and Mish were buffing people/enfeebling, Kets got hit with a 950+ damage SA Goblin Rush and died. We ended up easily winning, but it was kind of funny. D=

And then there was the tower...I went up first before our escort got there, and I guess this is what I get lol.

(If you don't see it, it's that when I canceled invis, I accidentaly canceled RR ; ; But I got the stone!) Anyways, eventually the rest of the group gets up to the top, and we enter. Only Kets has /RNG, so we had 2 SAM/NINs that would TP off the thralls and then WS the stone. The stone used SoNihility of us very early in the fight, while we were trying to figure out where to stand. Unfortunatley, it reset EVRYONE'S job abilities, so I couldn't bene and Mish couldn't Convert. So, we eventually got it to 45% and wiped. Since that weekend, Codewa has gotten RNG to at least 30ish and Mish has gotten 73BLM. When everyone is ready again, our plan will be (did I mention Bro has RDM at 75? I don't think I did):

While I have this picture here, I may as well mention that my BLU has incredible luck. I think I'm 1/1-5 on most spells now-a-days.

Speaking of incredible luck, Kets, Mish, and I have been trioing Sheep in Antlion's Clothing for the past ~2 months. We've gotten the regular ENM stuff, satin, an evoker (! that someone whose name starts with "K" dropped ._.), 2.5k exp etc. I've actually managed to get 4 merits between this and random mobs at ZNMs lol. The past 2 weeks, we've done it earlier while Mish was cat-napping and got these:

(The Hagun has a funny story behind it; when I lotted a 25 and opened the chest I yelled out "Hagun!" (jokingly) and walked over to Kets' comp (I was on his PS2 at the time) and he went "Omg Hagun!" and I was all like "Srsly??" and then I saw it. It was a 1.3million gil angel falling into my lap!)

Kets outlotted me on the Hagun (we split everything, but we always joke around to see who wins the lot -- see the mantle), but I won the true prize, then wand! lol

But pretty much, our new formula is:

I mentioned ZNMs a little bit earlier, so I'll make a little comment about it here. Our little LS has managed to romp and stomp every ZNM we face. T1s are a joke...Vulpagne dies in like 30 seconds (although everyone is usually dead when it dies xD), and Chigre dies in like a minute. Cheese Hoarder usually takes about 2-4 "waves" depending on how many BLMs we have. T2s are a little more difficult, but Iriz Ima (as always) is just sad. I've actually started investing in a nuking set so that I don't feel entirely useless. >_>; We've also done Verd many times (did you know that you can melee him?). I don't think we've actually done any troll path T2s yet (although I know we've killed Ob a few times, so someone is holding out on their seals `_`). We've done a few T3s as well, although we may have to stop due to some people not being available (a.k.a. we don't have enough ranged DDs on a usual Saturday). We have done many Armed Gears though, and we've managed to defeat Dea, Nuhn, the Mamool, and the Lamia.

I only have one complaint, and it's a pretty bad one. I shoudn't complain since I usually can't farm up Zeni (or I guess I do other stuff would be the way to put it ._.), but I swear we've done 1235342421 Cheese Hoarders, 875964 Chigres, 658653 Iriz Imas, and 76453 Verdelets. I actually have a Beast Slayer because no one else wanted one. It's fun doing these easy mobs, but some variety is always nice lul. ^^;

I'm very proud of the way our LS has banded together to get some ZNM gear for all of our members. However, the most important part of this event is that it gives us time to just relax...away from heavy endgame, RL events, etc....and just beat some tiny bugs into the ground!

Nothing much up for me this last month. Just a quick update; I'll make a longer one after March 28th, T-Day. T as in Tinnin. It should be fun, SoTW has managed to take out a lot of T3s (Nuhn, the 3 Hydra path ones) so I'm excited to see how we do. Anyways, the update and stuff...

WHM 75! Funny story, it actually dinged while Kets was using my character in Sky, so anticlimactic much.

RDM 52! Finished G1/2 on Amer and got meh AF booties.

Ninja Gear...

So. Now that my NIN is reaching the upper tier (60+) I decided that I would plan out gear for the job. This may be a long post, but I haven't decided yet. >_> And btw, it's all RA/EX stuff, because everything else is just a matter of farming. You may notice I skipped Body as I do not feel there are any difficult/good body pieces. AF1 and Hauby ftw.

Weapons:

Ah, the Senji. This is actually really easy, I just need to get an ODS together and it's a common drop. I have 2 orbs myself, and I'm sure Kets has some.

Lol yaokay. I don't mind doing assaults, it's just a matter of getting 6 people together each weel to spam missions. Plus, the however many IS it costs would make me level BRD ; ; However, it is the best off-hand weapon in the game, so I should get it eventually.

The only reason I really want this katana is because of the EVA (and kind of the ele damage). It sucks pretty much, but I've always wanted one (it used to be the best NIN katana, after all ^^;). However, it drops off of MG, who is easy but useless. At least with a Genbu pop I could try to get the other set and grab 2-3 people and kill the turtle. Sieryu is another story, though (see further down more on that >_>).

Head:

W. Turban obviously. That's easy/common enough I don't need a picture. Same goes with O. Hat. When I get like 65 I'll farm up a cluster and low-man it, he isn't very tough.

Ah, the first abjuration piece. This one is through Seiryu, so see Legs when I get there. However, bar-CNMs (Orc Helm) this is probably the best WS piece for Jin. (Ninja Edit: lol, get it? Voyager's Sallet is better and easy to get, just need more SMNs and a ToD. `_`)

CUUUUUTEEEE!!!!!! After Kets gets done with Nyzul I'll make him/2 box him do floor 100/farm lower floors for tokens and get me this beautiful head piece! ^^ W. Turban is probably better, but OMGCUTE

Hands:

Best daytime Jin piece. Since it's a +1 AF, I would need Sea. At this point, if I wanted to, I could probably get Sea in a few months. However, I feel that I don't really need it. This (and gorgets) are really the only thing I'd get out of it, except Rajas (which is amazing, but too much work for me >>;). Limbus would be pretty easy since a lot of it can be low manned, but it's just getting enough people. Actually, I just remembered Brutal is from Limbus. .... Maybe I do need Sea. >_>

These may or may not be good. I think they're better than O. Kote and would tie me over until N Tekko +1, but I would have to test. Relatively east to get compared to everything else on the list.

/dream. Honestly, I could farm Xarc NIN NM with like 4 people and a sack, but with a 10% drop rate that's like 5 mil gil. I can probably get Northlands access through Kets (him leeching my char for "raises" >_> <_<).

Legs: AKA The Holy Grail of Haste:

The basic delay down legs. I've been toying the idea around in my head, and SoTW could probably do low tier city runs just without the win. Simply romp around farming AF. We could possibly break even, but it's really just a matter of getting people together. Plus, the people who go to Dyna usually couldn't do it, so that leaves us with even less people lol. It would be something fun to do once, but I can sympathize with people who never want to do Dynamis. >_>

I put these two together because they both drop from Byakko. See Koga legs mainly. The pops are easy enough, and I believe it would be possible to take him down. However, huuuuge timesink, albeit for the best NIN legs in TP/WS (the Haidate, not Shura; Shura suck pretty much after you get Haidate).

The "I don't have Haidate" WS pants. Easy enough to get, and better on low EVA mobs than Shura. Byakko > though obviously.

Lol yaokay again. First off: Need Assault. Second off: Need a lot of luck. Third off: B haidate is probably easier and faster. Usu feet are great too, but same concept except #3.

Long Overdue...

So! Quite a fun few weeks. First and foremost, Ninjar is awesome! I've managed to get it from I think like 40 since last post to 56! I really want Blade: Jin, but unfortunately I'm already feeling the hurt in my pocket. Luckily, I have someoneKetsthat I can abuse manta farming, it's just a matter of getting skins to drop. >_> Since I haven't gotten one yet, I did the Jaguar Mantle quest. It really made me want to do more quests, I'd forgetten how fun they are! ^^

In regards to quests/missions, I recently helped out with rank missions 5.1 and 5.2. The Archlich fight took about 2 minutes. MNK+MNK+DRK+BRD=Hundred Fistsx2+SV Minuet= horribly broken bones flying everywhere. Mission 5.2, was really funny. For the first form, me and Athoz (MNK) got him to 40%ish until he became melee-immune. This was like a minute into the fight, so we had to wait for ODF to come out of CS to nuke with me. Stupid Carste changed nations and couldn't help, so no real magic damage. Thanks a lot. >_>;
Second form was finished in about 30 seconds. Booooring.

Then, we mosied over to Giddeus for the 2-3 fight. I ran in a little early (oops), but BLU horribly pwns that fight. Yawn. When he reached 20%, he used AoE Curse which brought me to like 60HP/40MP max. Ewwww. Two Bludgeons later, no more dragon.

After that, Carste and Athoz helped me out with The Prince and the Hopper quest. If you haven't done that quest yet, that Taru is creepy! ; ; Anyways, you have to go to Mamook and kill a frog NM. Ath killed it in like a minute and I just tanked the babies. Carste, in his BLM awesomeness, got his AMII resisted. Great job.
So, I got my awesome Chanoix Gorget, which is nice for my DRG when it hits 70. O wait.

Back to NIN! I feel bad because I don't really use ele tools (we have a THF), but other than the occasional canceling of Protect instead of Copy Image and the more than occasional forgetting how many shadows I have, I am decent. My most recent static was on Colibri 54-56, so unfortunatly my accuracy was like 33% lol >_> Hopefully, it will be better soon!

I'm sorry for the lack of photos. I really don't feel like uploading them from PS, so I may add them later. Speaking of which, Congrats Soul and Drim on the marriage! And Zer, I'm sorry I can't walk in a straight line. `_` (pictures stop me apparently).

I had a lot planned this weekend (well, more packed than usual) but unfortunately, the dreaded internet connection needed to play this game struck again. At least it wasn't me this time, though lol.

Saturday was casual, but oh so unlucky. We farmed Codices, and in like 3 hours we got one codex -_-. However, I did get a THF subligar...(/toss)

Sunday, two static members couldn't get on so we scrapped for this week. I didn't mind though, my NIN needs a few more pieces of gear and I had some stuff to finish up IRL.

Hopefully, next week will be more eventful. =O

A.K.A The RDM AF1 mob.

Before I start, I have a funny story. I've spent a lot on Amer lately. Also, in the past week, I think I've had like 3 or 4 tells saying "Amerie?" Well, apparantly that's the name of some elitist snob who sells HNM items (ffxiah ftw) who I am obviously not. Anyways, I first responded "No." but later didn't resopond at all. It's odd, because he stared at me in Qufim while he was waiting for dynamis while I was soloing. Also, I've never, EVER gotten these tells before. I have no idea anything about this person (lolirony at earlier statement) but I think they may be a server swap since I've never gotten these before? Whatever.

Back on topic, why is this blog titled Purpleflash Brukdok? Well, it's because I soloed him (as 44RDM/BLM)! This (according to wiki) makes me ten levels lower than the last reported solo by RDM. Of course, lolwiki, but I promptly updated it when I defeated him. Anyways, I've recoreded my strategy here. I'll put the warning now; this will be ALL text as I didn't take any good pics. >_>

Purpleflash (PB) spawns in Davoi near the PLD quest well. This means he is ~20 seconds away from the river! An interesting fact to know about orcs is that they detect by scent, which water erases. This allows you to pull an orc to the river and essentially lose hate! This is the basis of my ENTIRE strategy.

PB is a BLM type, which means that he (obviously) casts spells upon claiming and periodically after. This is his major weakness; when you tag him, he will pause, giving you enough time to run away! But on to that later.

To pull him, do the normal RDM stuff. Phalanx/BLINK(you'll see why I highlighted that later)/SS/P2/S2 etc. Aquaveil/Spikes aren't really needed, or protect really. Anyways, when you get a clear shot of PB, pull away! Immediately begin to run back towards the river. Stand so that you can see the top of the "cliff" and wait until you see him and his adds running towards you (or if he begins casting), and run! Eventually, you will notice that all of the orcs will STOP. Wait until they despawn, and tag PB with Bio II.

Now, onto the heart of soloing. This is done through:

exploiting the ability to lose hate in water
allowing PB to take damage from DoTs while unclaimed
using fast cast to get out of range from his spells
using Blink/Regen to prevent/negate fast casting DoTs

Keep in mind: from the first Bio II onward, IMMEDIATELY BEGIN RUNNING SLIGHTLY AFTER YOU REACH 55% SPELL COMPLETION! Because of Fast Cast, YOUR SPELL WILL STILL GO OFF WHILE AT THE SAME TIME GIVING YOU A SLIGHT DISTANCE ADVANTAGE! This allows you to escape his most dangerous spells, Thundaga/Stonega II/Waterga II. ALWAYS TRY TO KEEP UP BLINK! You CANNOT outrun Bio II/Poison II, and if these stick they will force you to use Regen. Poison II deals 4d/tick, and Bio II is 5d/tick. Make sure you do not get hit by both of these! They will drain your HP and in turn your MP. Keep up refresh and shell, but DO NOT worry about SS. Always keep your HP above 350 in case you get hit by a -ga II by accident.

Anyways, your order of priorities whould be this:

DoTs - if they wear he will REGEN HP. This is a loong enough fight, you won't want this.
HP - keep it above 350!
Blink - make sure to not get hit by DoTs!
Refresh - this is important, but can always be used later!

So, since I've (kind of) covered the basics, what do you do now?

Lets go back to that post-despawn Bio II. Once you cast this, use the "moving magic" trick and run deeper into the river! You should notice after ~10 seconds, HE WILL STOP AND DE-AGGRO! You will then want to tag him and stick Shock on him, and repeat. Now, follow him from a safe distance, and re-apply DoTs as they wear. This is basically the ENTIRE FIGHT minus a few nukes when you have MP. Make sure you keep him in between the bridge and the start of the area you pulled him from, or you will run out of water! A quick Poison/T1 nuke will make him move a few paces back if needed.

At around 75% (for me, at least) he will use manafont. This was actually, um, odd. He stood there with his weapon drawn and moved like an inch every 5 seconds until it wore, after which he de-aggroed me. It was weird >___>

After about 1hr20m for me, he reached ~5%. At this point, BIND HIM AND USE CHAINSPELL/WATER II! Did I mention Bind/Gravity stick? Well, they do. He used a harmless Poison II, and I finished him off in two unresisted nukes. I didn't need it, but try to have Convert ready for this! There is always the chance ALL of your nukes are resisted.

As the title says, I have no pictures lol. >_> I keep on forgetting to take them.

First off, I got my Smithy's Mitts! That makes me a l33t 50+1 smither xD. While we're talking about Amer, I am currently enrolled in a Saturday 30ish static, and I managed to get Amer from 41-44 in three hours through the use of quad banding! (Anni + Anni + Emp + Anni) Now she's an awesone 44RDM/20WHM...; ; (I'll work on the SJ when the static ends since I don't really want to level it).

Now on to Falk. I actually can spell his name now. >_> Sjoidjgo. If anyone wonders, his name (I guess) is pronounced "Sjoi - d - jgo". "Sjo" isn't a bad shortening, but I MUCH prefer everyone calls me Falk still lol. It's pretty sad though; every time I go to a delivery box and I send something to Falk, it won't let me. Then I'm like "oh yeah that's right". ;_;

This Saturday was very fun for me, as I mentioned earlier! In the morning I had Amer static with my super fun LS group, and then we proceeded to beat the crap out of Fomor and Tauri in Aquaducts. I got to go Blu! I had forgetten how fun that job was. =3 Anyways, we got a THF sub off the first or second spawn (it took me and Kets like 3 days 4 hours each to get it -_-) which was the only one we really wanted. We killed Eba, too with 6 or 7. It was fun, although (I know, I'm mean) she only Grim Halo'd once. ; ; It one shotted Drimer on WAR though. xP

After we got a few more codices, we headed off to Sacarium to pop Swift Belt mobs. We had to wait a while for everyone to gather, so in the extra time me (BRD, Zer (PLD), and Stand (COR) beat up some Fomors. All I have to say is; Wow, those fights took a looooong time. Anyway, after we got everyone together we popped 5 NMs, resulting in one Swift Belt which Soul got. I think I died like 4 times, but poor Soul (on SMN) got killed like every time a mob used Grim Halo. ;_; Next week we'll be doing the same thing and trying to get Stand, Drim, Skie, and Mail some Swifts.

I have this Friday and maybe Thursday off, so I really need to farm. I need to buy RSE legs for Amer and then gear out PLD for Sunday static now. Then, I need to gear out NIN, which should be fun . . .

So anyway, Sjobgjo or whatever is Falk's new name. -_- I sent an e-main to SE and they said "Look at the Q&A" to which my response was "Idid like 20 times and it doesn't help". Sigh. I'm not going to try again though, it's just a game and I don't feel like stressing out over it.

On that note I lost my Sandy win and my AF2 hat when they rolled me back, but it sure is better than not having like the 500k worth of gear they actually sold.

Double sigh...

Anyways, I'm at least back, even if I'll be using Amer for a while just because I have her name. =O

Since my character got statched in August, I've been leveling this mule. I got him to 75WHM/50BRD/41BLU/43BLM/37NIN etc. in just a month! I also applied to a Dynamis linkshell, and got my AF Hat! And, my social, SpiritOfTheGorilla, helped me obtain my Dyrad Staff!

Yeah yeah yeah I need other gear, but I geared up quick because I got drafted into doing a Dyna-Jeuno (we won, so I have a Jeuno clear for whenever I do Dyna full time <_<;). class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Anywayyyysss, main thing is the staff. Went 1/2 in the past three spawns!

Other than that, I may level BRD. I got it to 33 so it may start getting better now with Finale. But, only time will tell if it's fun. Although honestly, I may level it even if I don't like it. @_@ I need more double minuet and buffer jobs. Plus, the AF hat is adorable. xP

My vacation was also very nice, and once I weed out the bad photos (I took....uh....1500 photos? yeah) I'll post a few of those. AK is gorgeous!

I've never been one who closely follows expansion storylines when they come out. I kind of just go "oh" and move on. However, I am hooked on WotG!

Also, keep in mind I've been over at Ket's place this week. That's why he has all my pictures. >____>; I swear I forget to take pictures anyway, so it works out fine.

So yeah WotG! The storyline is sooo good, especially the fight in La Vaule. Omg omg omg. If you haven't done it yet, do it! It's interesting and shows how freaking ridiculous Elvaan generals are lol.

Most of this will be pics, so yay pics!

First, we duoed the end of the Sandy Quests.

Then we started on the actual missions. This is WotG7, a relatively easy boss fight. As we you can see, we didn't have too much trouble.

So yeah. Apparently, WotG8 is out, but as of now no one knows what to fo lol. >_>

A few days before all of this, I did some random things. Trioed ZM6 (the antican one) and killed Kamy then duoed the vase to get Ket sky (woo!). Then I killed the Uggy pendant NM with my LS. Go (kind of) low manning things! It was a little sloppy (me and WHM forgot RR and died like 3 seconds between each other -_-) but we killed him both times. Then random Retribution NM.

So yeah. I farmed a little as well so I have like 800k, just dunno what to spend it on. I may level WHM depending on if I can do a few of the new YNMs.

A Late May Update

Ugh. I haven't done anything in FFXI recently, been very busy. Just a few pics, and then updated my goals for June.

I got NIN to 37. Of course, once it dinged that the scroll went up 100k, but just a matter of time before that happens.

And this happened. Me and Amer's orbs are like 2/4 on PCC now.

So yeah. That's it. I have like 700k now but nothing to really spend it on since I don't have time. -_- Although after this week I'll be happy. Classes end, and I have a few long term goals for the next few months...

I got WoTG (finally)! Sprinter Shoes are incredible. SCH is sweet. Can you say "next job I'm leveling near 75 but will forget about because I can't get 75?" Oh yeah, and got DNC too, but WHM/DNC is bleh.
PLD -> 32 not including static today.
I can farm now by 2-boxing accounts! Yayyyy angel skins again!
I might be doing assaults soon (maybe)! We have 4 people now, just need to figure out time and maybe get 1-2 more.

Well, that's about it...how sad. =(

Oh well, hopefully next time I'll have a SCH and manta filled update! Oh, and darksteel ingots too. -_-

Ugh. I keep on logging into blogger to update, but them I'm just like "Nah, I'll do it later". Well, I'll just do it now, I don't have much else to do! (Side note on that: I sprained my knee walking around D.C. for 7 HOURS so I'm just resting up a little. >_> My face is also sunburnt, but it isn't bad.)

I actually forgot what I did, so I had to look at my Fraps folder! ; ; Well, I did a lot of things with Amer recently, like this (HULK SMASH!)

Luckily, a group of random JPs came along and helped me out. Yay!

Next, someone in TBH gave me the ToD for this guy, and I tried him out, melee solo style!

Unfortunately, he started to beat me. Badly. At around 50% I started kiting him around the north-eastern area of the marsh, (K-9), if it matters. Then I whined to my LS about needing someone to kill him, as I could keep DoTs on him, but Auto-Refresh + Cure III = no way in hell I can kill him (Although maybe a full MP CS+Thunder would do it, but I didn't have enough HP for a full convert usually.)

Luckily, Zer came out and horribly murdered him with one spell. But NO DROP! -_- I could have sworn it was 100% ; ;.

In those pics, notice the timestamp difference between photo #1 and #3. Yeah, I kited him for ~40 mins. I feel very accomplished, and it was really fun, but I think that calling in friends is always easier. >_> (Also, if you want to try this out for some reason, a RDM41/lol10NIN can hypothetically kite this guy forever. Bind lasts until recast is up for a while, and when he starts resisting merge it with Gravity. It may have been smart for me to take him down to ~35% where he starts curing with Bind to save MP, and then CS+Thunder for the win, but I wasn't sure if it would kill him.)

I also did a few random things on Falk, but they were small.

I have one more thing that happened, but Imma wait until it gets a little higher to say it.

On quick thing before I get to the title topic...

I know have an lolDunes static on Sundays with my PLD. Let's look at the rag-tag group!

So, our setup is RDM/PUP(SCH now)/PLD/DRK(BST now)/COR/RNG

A little light on the DD, but whatever. We have a COR, so we're awesome.

Now, on to the title! Iunno why, but I love watching Dynamis! >_> Omg it's fun as a DD. I usually go over to Demon's place to watch him do it, as I just <3 it to death. So, I was playing his char a little while he finished cleaning up, and this happened right when he finished!

So, that makes him 3/3 on non-Northlands Saotome gear! ^^ Congrats! Oh yeah, and ANOTHER pair dropped while I was watching as well. Kehkehkehkeh.

Oh yeah, I forgot! Depending on when SE bills me, I may have a little surprise! lol

I was reading the flame at QCDN, and I laughed SO much. I've had more fun there then...well...actually since yesterday, since, you know, I actually do stuff other than play FFXI. But the point of this post is to point out and counter-argue two things:

1) QCDN people: Wow, what a way to end a linkshell.

Me: Oh, sorry. I didn't know that broken linkshells did Optical Hat runs.

(Stole pick from Zer. I was busy and tired at the time of run, so I couldn't make it. +1 person there!)

2) QCDN people: You can't kick people out of your own social shell for a half decent reason!

Me: Ummmmmmm.....last time I saw a social shell, it usually has a leader and is made to have fun? If there was someone who I hated, I would kick his ass even if he didn't do anything. You people need to realize that Xean is the leader, he can do what he damn well pleases in his own linkshell!

Gawd, people there are such idiots. This is a video game, not a fucking court of law where people have a "right" to fair trial.

Oh, and PLD->10 on Falk. Yay~

To the people who may say otherwise: I know what the hell I am talking about. When Demon was (basically) kicked out of the shell, I didn't bitch and complain, because I knew that it was useless. I tried to talk it out in the private forum, and even though I knew it was unfair, I know when it is stupid trying to change people's minds. I had (pretty much) clear cut evidence that it wasn't his fault, but mine. Keep in mind, this was much better evidence than this flame has. But on that note, even though Xean is a complete tool, it doesn't mean he is a horrible person. You probably can't guess it, but I'm a horrible person IRL as well. I am completely cold to people who don't matter to me. After all, why should I care; it only matters how I feel in the end. I don't really like Xean, but I respect him. He is actually a great leader in my opinion. Even though he is not on much, he rules the LS with an iron fist. In any other situation, I believe that the LS would have broken up by now, but instead we are all rallied behind Xean and supported and continue to support his opinion (in the LS and on the forum, at least). As I was saying earlier about my personality, if someone was harassing my girlfriend and calling her names, he/she would disappear from my LS faster than cookies at a Weight Watcher's meeting. I don't see why Xean should be any different.

Back to the Demon point now, after he left I felt horrible. I might as well have been kicked out of the linkshell as well as I rarely logged on at all after that. However, eventually I started missing my friends. One day I decided that I would put it behind me and just continue playing. After all, this game is meant to be fun, I suppose.

So after all this rambling, I do have a point: stop bitching about how a social LS is run. My secondary point, I assume, would be that even if something traumatic happens to you in a LS, suck it up, it's the only way you will ever get through this game, let alone life.

Yes, I am leveling BST. Keep in mind I have always sucked at BST. From 15-16 I died around 10 times, and from 16-17 I died at least 20 times. But, I got tired of sitting in my MH all day doing nothing, so I grabbed my gear out and headed to Valkurm. Except, there was one thing wrong...

I dinged 18, and I didn't die.

So, yay me! At 18, did a combo of Jugner (at the lake near the NW Landing zone, mobs popped too slow so I had to leave) and Carpenter's Landing (Sandy zone). I died zero times AGAIN and dinged 20!

Keep in mind I am having awesome fun while doing this, as I don't have to mindlessly seek and hope a party wants the job I'm leveling. Yay again! However, once I leveled, my curse came back.

I died! And de-leveled, which means no Chocobo! ; ;

So, I OP'd to Bubu and killed some crabs for my level + a 1k buffer.

I warped (Blood warped, actually) back to Jeuno, and grabbed a choco to my next camp, Mer(tab) Mountains. However, on my way there this happened:

So, I rounded up me, Demon, and Ferque, enough to probably take him down with a two-hour pull strategy (zone him after 2-hour so he can't use it when he gets back to full and rage timer restarts). But, as always there was a problem.

You may be saying to yourself "what does that have to do with anything?" The answer would be: a lot! With WoTG, you can warp directly to where Roc is through the sar(tab) Maw. However, if you are gimp (like me!) and don't have the expansion, you have to use the dreaded

Okay, a good way to start this post off is saying that Hume M NINs are ugly as sin. More about that later!

CoP! I hate CoP!

We were supposed to do 3-5 yesterday, so I logged on around 7AM to finish where I had stopped (I need to talk to Cid to end 3-3), and got to 3-5 around 8AM. I logged off for a while, got back on around 10AM to get a chip. Logged on myself and Demon and headed out to get me my Blue Bracelets. I got them (it was easy), but then I found out one important fact.

ALL characters entering the room need the bracelets!

So, of course I didn't have it flagged on Demon and I killed the monsters by myself sooo slowly with Falk, I decided to go to another tower.

Fast forward to 12:15, I finally got my chip! (Along with like 50 Heart Snatcher points! ; ;) So I teled out and headed to get my pass so we could start.

That sound all fine and dandy right? Well, it wasn't.

I will take a short break from CoP to tell you about my new found fun-muffin, Demon's alt char! Unfortunately I can only use it with his permission, but oh wells. See the top of the post for why I used wardrobe....

1/1 on both, yay I guess.

Now that I have introduced the concept of a third char, I'll go into more detail about CoP! Unfortunately, I pulled a WHM AF hands coffer! For those who don't know who that is, it's when something happens and I'm an idiot and don't get the drop because of some stupid reason! I was so incredibly idiotic that I teled before the chip lotted and lost it. So, basically, it's 30 minutes after we were supposed to start and I'm passless. Boo.

Cue me begging Demon!

I eventually get access to Ferque who has BLU at 61 and sea, so I use him instead, and I'll just get 3-5 done on Falk later.

So what is this all leading up to you may ask? Well, usually I would say nothing, but this time it is something. It would be my lack of playing time. As you can see, in the past two weeks, I only have two pictures; both of which involve me helping my brother get something. I don't know, the amount of time needed to get anything in this game is so much, sometimes it just isn't worth it. The few things I might actually want to do (Dynamis!) take too long and I don't have enough time for them.

This all came to me today when someone said I should have gotten the pass earlier. I don't play during the week at all (except *sometimes* Friday) and even then I usually get on for 2 or three hours on weekends and thats all. Considering the fact I already said I would help Demon with AQ on Friday, and I didn't even know we were doing it until last Saturday, I had barely any time to get the pass. Most of the time I play now I just sit in my MH and do nothing, hoping someone will ask me to help with something. I seriously haven't leveled ANYTHING in like a month...

Oh well, whine whine whine.

So, as the title implies I have been doing some CoP missions the past week. But, before I get to those picks, I have a few random ones of what I've done since my last "update" if you even call it that.

First, I activated this quest by talking to some guy.

("You won't be getting any more sugar from this candy cane!" Oh, that's funny and disturbing at the same time!)

Next, I killed Garuda with THF/NIN, SMN/WHM(level 28), and WHM/NINx3! Hexa Strike go go go!

Now, the brunt of the update, CoP! I did 2-5 with my LS, and we went 1/1! BLMx2, WHM, DRK, PLD, NIN ftw. NIN kited one while the other five fought two. If went really well, although there were a few times I was like "We're going to die, hard." We planned to kill one, die and RR, but the way we did it worked too (never died).

(Stealed this from Demon).

Then, we did 3.3, which is freaking ANNOYING! I seriously wanted to jump off the freaking Tor.

We did the Sandy part easily, the Ivy died in like 15 seconds, so he was easy. Cue Windurst! First off, it took us like 20 minutes to run around trying to get all the CSs, and then we headed to Attohwa. Boohoo for us, no one knew how to get to the sand. I (*of course*) found it, and we killind the ant in around 15 seconds too. We grabbed our stones, and let me just say, do you notice anything in this pic?

Yeah, me and Reiyn were the only ones that could get up there. I tried helping everyone get up there after their jewel broke and the got a new one, but I fell of in the same spot five freaking TIMES! I eventually had to go eat, and they eventually got up there. So, when I got back I finished the windy leg, just have to run to Bastok now. 3.5 is next week, so maybe I can go BLU...!

I didn't mention this in my last post, so I will put it here. Congrats to Arimis and Sabene! <3 I still need to get you two a present by the way. It will come to me. <_<;

After the ceremony, everyone gathered together for a group pic!

The guys also took one with Ari, unfortunately, someone walked in front of me so the pic is unflattering to me. It sucked anyways though.

Finally, it wouldn't be a celebration without someone yelling out things (Ari, be happy you were in your other LS...).

Then, we had an OMGLOL LVL1 RACE. Sadly, Ari and Sab died. I came in third though, because Kanash had uber hacking zoning skills.

Yeah ow. I am still having Demon send me his SSs until I feel like using my PC. I'm starting to like PS2 as ir doesn't lag much.

But, anyway, me and Demon decided to do a one on one ballista, and amazingly, I won twice and he one twice. However, he is only 59 so he doesn't have Yuki. ; ;

I haven't done much this past week, but I also was farming a THF sub for Demon when Eba popped on us. Someone in my LS said about this "I'll give you 500k if you can kill Eba with less than 6 people and less than 3 NINs". I quickly called in reinforcements and, well, this SS will say what happened...

I want my 500k. >_> Not really though. We beat him with WHM, RNG, BLU, NIN, and Spalk was PLD but he died like 2 mins into the fight. We probably could have killed her without him.
Oh yeaaaahhh.

That's about it. My friend is almost 92 Cloth so I think I'll get my NT made soon. I kind of want to get WHM to 70, but I have some LS mates that might want to level with me.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot these two NMs. Popped Pallas twice (2/2 ftw!) and got the drop on Tom. I have *never* seen Tom before lol.

Yeah, I do. Since classes have started I haven't played much, but I killed Roc four times, not even a D. Ingot. I now love everyone who came out to help though. =3 Few random things, helped Demon with SAM AF2 and the Uglypee coffer, which he got pwnt by, and I almost did (Tele with aquaveil and AF feet ftw!). I already got killed by his damn AF2 bird, he pulled it to zone (air eles ; ;) and it lost aggro and started to kill a passing BST. Me being the nice person I am pulled it off him, and he proceeded to ram my little /NINless Taru to the ground. Luckily a passing BRD (y halo thar R1) raised me and Demon pwnt it while I Cured him after Lullaby.

Yeah, so picture time!

My comp works but Demon has been using it. -__-;

By the way, after a bad Spell-Swap accident, my Hexas do look like that.

Well, I've been playing on my PS2 lately, not only because my computer is constantly being used, but because Roc sucks (1/2 on claim (me flash ftw!), 0/1 on drop). So, I had my bro take all these pics. My last few days have been;

1) Do some menial things in the morning, watch Charmed.
2) Go and kill Roc at an incredibly late time EST. Go go lack of sleep, I'm waking up at like 9-10 where as I usually awaken at like 7.

I'm not even going to start about the 16 hours I sat in Sar(tab) spamming wide scan. -_-;

Now, I get back to the original point, why I'm using PS2. I can watch TV while I camp Roc! Yaaaaayyyy. I already have my schedule down;

So, this has been my past few days.

I'm giving up on LJ now, drop is too low, I could just farm Angel Skins for how much he drops the sword. I got NIN to 36 with a string of crappy parties (except one, RDM, NIN, NIN, RNG, MNK, WAR = pawn). Luckily, I got BLU from 36-38 is a omgwtfpwn party of:

BLU, BLU, WAR, DRG, RDM, WHM.

Let's just say there was one party there that was pissed at us for pulling all of their mobs, and we ended up killing lizards for chains.

If the other party wasn't there, we could have easily gotten chain 6+. Our RDM was sleep pulling so we would have mobs, and when he had to rest (or something, dunno), EVERYONE went looking for a mob. It was soooo much fun.

So, long story short.

I wasn't doing much so I went to see if I could get a ToD for Jack today. To my astonishment, Willow was up. Stand offered to help, so he got there first and started killing willow while I moved Demon there. Jack popped, agrroed me (Falk -_-), and then we kicked his ass. "We" as in Demon and Stand. I just hasted/cured/ran into other room to cast Utsu. Even with DRG and THF (Light go go go), it took a good 15-20 mins to kill it. He has HORRIBLE accuracy though.No drop, even with TH3. I got 10k on both chars though! He going to be my bitch soon. <3

I have a post under this that's new by the way, I just separated this into two.

Okay, I have a few things to say about my parties I've had on NIN.

First one:

NIN/WAR, THF/NIN, DRK/WAR, DRK/RDM, WHM/BLM, BRD/WHM.

Seems simple, right? Well it kind of was. We started off in Sar(tab) with a WAR in the place of the DRK/WAR. Weapons were weak, with meat (<3) I was hitting them for 10-25 damage a hit decently often, and my Retsus were doing 80-120. Love love love love. However, our THF was slow on SATA, so our WAR got pummeled. I died once here due to a 324 Smite of Rage followed by a double attack. Stupid high damage WS. EXP was fine, but once our DRK dinged 33, we had to leave to go to E. Altepa. Here, our WAR and THF left, whom we replaced with a DRK and a THF. So, we got to camp, and things had high(er) evasion, so I popped a Jack-O-Lantern. Yay for evasion. I was hitting fine though (they checked low evasion with food/madrigal), but not hard. I was doing 5-20 damage on these in DD gear, and Retsus did 20-80. Not too shabby. Our THF had the EXACT same problem as our other one, it took like 20 seconds for her to SATA. Gah. Here I died twice due to Stomping (-_-;) for 200+. Tanking Dhalmal at 31-32 = no. Party disbanded, I was 32, about 100/5.8k in. -------------------------------

Next party, next day! Set up is: (At Garlaige, 31-33 at first) NIN/WAR, THF/NIN, DRK/WAR, RDM/WHM, WHM/BLM, BLU/NIN. Oh. My. Gawd. Let me do pros of this set up first. . . . . . THF! I can held hate a little better. WHM and RDM! Healing and dispel/erase. It looks good on paper! Our DRK is in TBH, so he was good. =P Cons! Our THF consistantly hit SA onry, so 50% of the time I didn't have TA. THF was 33, but was using sword main hand. ; ; WHM would *not* use Erase, which caused me to have evasion down ALMOST ALL THE TIME. An easy 95% of the time it hit me because of this, where as the other 5% of the time I didn't have it on, it had like a 66% hit rate. Our RDM had nearly full MP all the time, didn't back up heal, didn't enfeeble or dispel unless asked. So, you may ask, what did he do with his MP? Perform half-assed nukes with a sword on. Gah! Our BLU was /NIN, but didn't use Utsusemi. He also had no food. . . . It wasn't as bad as it sounds, however it could have been much better. After a while, our RDM said " gotta go" and left. Our leader got a RNG apparently, but I didn't know so I asked if an LS mate's BLM could go. Too bad he got the RNG... The RNG has full NQ Noct gear, an Assassin's Bow (. . .), and some Crossbow that he only used Acid Bolts on that did 10-15 damage (I didn't even look). Okay, problem number one. LOLSHORTBOW. Also, he had a bad habit of using Barrage RIGHT when the mob got to camp, messing up SATA. Needless to say, the only way he pulled hate was through that. Also, the funny part about it is he has a 71+ SAM, so he could afford to have good gear. >_>;

Lawdy lawd I have had enough bad people in my party for a while. I had to go, so I said I had 15 mins then left after that. <3>

Meh. I don't really know what to write lol. I'll just show some picks with some explanations.

I was on my way to Yho(tab) to get the NIN fisherman-tunic thing while I was 2-boxing Demon and ran in to this guy. No drop, of course, but it was funny anyway.

Yah, went 1/1 on the Opo-opo, I'm glad too, because this happened 15 mins after I spawned it.

Let's just say I had 3 stacks of Pamamas after the first one, and I only spawned it one. (/w\)
Gawd I fail at fake JP faces. >_>

Then, while I was leveling NIN (@2k to 34 now), I got into a party of 5x taru, 1x elvaan. Lol. Hilarity insued.

And now, to end, my ode to lolShiki drama. No, I haven't gotten over it, it's too sad seeing people huddle like mobs to a taru.

Ugh. I haven't felt well this entire week, so I haven't done anything. Demon got 74 (bless his heart, finally >_>;) so I'm using his char to farm up Angel Skins. I've gotten one skin, but I have to go 50/50 with him. Oh well, it's still 220k. Stupid RMT hax. I swear this one RMT got claim 6 or 7 times in a row.
So, I'll break into a short story here.

RMT have been there, they fish up like 4 pugs about 5 mins into his window. They get destroyed (NIN THF WHM ftw?). About 20 mins later, none of the legit players fish up the mob, and the RMT come back. Yvette, (the RMT THF who always fishes it up) gets there and starts to fish. Puts her rod in, and up comes the manta on her stick. First try.

I haven't done much in FFXI. Levelled NIN, failed at getting drop from Orctrap like 10 times so NIN is stuck at 28, the usuall. Poisonhand is the new RMT hot-spot, so I'm not even trying to get his drop. Bah bah bah bah. I have a few people with jobs around 37, so I'm going to start a static. I need to talk to a few people and then I'll have most of it straightened out. Demon get his O. Kote so I'm probably going to end up going 32-36 with his SAM, so at least I'll have someone able in my party. Yay?

I also tried 2-3 for someone in my LS, so I may post pics later, I'm on another comp then the one I have fraps on.

Oh wells, that's my quick update. I'll been so ticked about the loldrama, I think it's getting to me. >_>; Like 85% of people who post there are 2 year olds. Gawd I hate QCDN.

First off, no I am not "defending" anyone, this is my opinion.

I wasn't going to say anything, but now you are fucking annoying me Myrrh. You are talking about how "everyone hate me in LS", "nobody trusts me in LS", when I think literally less than 7 people were on that night. It is crude and, to tell the truch, assbaggish that you would do that. So, *maybe* the LS had planned fucking you over all out. We *obviously* hate you so much that after we got the ToD we would just kick you. Reaallllyyyyy.

The fact that, just because Soul, someone with EQUAL job level as you, lotted and beat you, is pissing you off that much, is such a big letdown. The fact that you think that you can lot first because you brought a few friends from your other LS, doesn't mean we are going to lie down and say "okay". *(Although I am speaking in the voice of Zer I guess, as you and Soul had spoken in tells as you said earlier, I would not have known of the agreement.)You know, you are much alike to Zer and Xean, once you find a point, you can't admit that you are wrong, or the world will end.

Soul submitted to peer pressure. Which means, the entire thing could have been prevented by him not lotting. This does not mean I'll hate him forever, or even at all. I'm one to forgive and forget. And to answer someones suggestion for him earlier "drop the robe and that will be a little better". Um, no? If I bought 10m gil and a full set of HQ staves, and someone said "gilbuying sucks", rather two things would happen. Rather A) I would say "oh that's nice" and move on (isn't that what 95% of people who are flamed do anyway?). Or "wow, you're right, it sucks." Either way, I wouldn't drop the staves and waste my time and money. No, I do not have a set of HQ staves, thank you for asking.

Myrrh. What can I say about you. Keep in mind I put you above Xean and Zer, because really, you have just made this thing an entire fuck bag fest. Comparing this to chary is like comparing a muffin to a toaster. They are barely alike. Cgary, you have to wait a possible 16 HOURS to have him spawn, and then hope to get claim. You still have to hope to get claim, but Shikis window is not even 16 MINUTES. So it takes, what, maybe an hour for two or three days to get? You were the one who has made this a 58 page flame fest (well, Jyak too), off of somethng that could have just been said by saying: "Hey guys, help me tomorrow." If you think that a virtual ITEM is worth all of this yelling, you need to get your priorities checked.

Xean, burying your coffing. Just stop please. It was, however, VERY crude of you to say that Myrrh isn't trustworthy, after the things he has done for the LS. I think most of the times you weren't on, but that's what the thank you thread is for.

Zer, I do believe you didn't know of the agreement, since you weren't there (I think?), so I think agreeing with Xean was the right thing to do. It was nice to stand up for the LS, but really. Enough is enough. Let it die. :x Myrrh, when you have a fiance, you will understand this.

Other LS members, the <7 that were on then (can't find the SS in the thread. =/) show that maybe 10 people in the shell hate you, which isn't bad saying that I'm sure a lot of people don't like you because of your mouth. But there are still other people that don't hate you, hell, we even try to help. Stop being such a baby and stop saying all the LS hates you.

A few more things!

Why was I there yesterday? I was there to help. I said I would help you, Soul, and Ali get their YYR, and I keep my promises and honor my friends. I was not expecting an invite, but I'm a WHM, I don't need one. Funny story, I WSd and saw Shiki up, by the time I got to him it was dead. Lol. I actually plan to be there tomorrow (today I guess), to invite me or not is agin your choice.

Am I going to stay in the LS? Yes, because it is a great one. Just because three people in our linkshell are brash and five of them are fucktards doesn't mean everyone sucks. As a matter of fact, I will keep this shell with pride. I am not a coward that can be sucked in by Myrrh and Jyak's rant.

Also, stop saying "omg I love my linkshell they are so trustworthy." It's fucking annoying. Unless that post on our boards was a part of your plan to get Soul to lot and kill the LS to hell, it shows how much you trusted us then. And look at it now. Um yeah. Also, let's say 20 people were at Shiki. 10 weren't in Fury, and I bet 5 from Fury wouldn't have showed up if there wasn't a 58 page flame about it. So stop fucking being a kiss ass.

Let me end it with this story, that may or may not have something to do with anything. I have a "friend" that was invited to Zer and Xean's wedding. He, however, couldn't make it. Flash to 5 months later. He makes a few mistakes, and he leaves the shell. I don't think that they have talked since. The point of this is don't alienate people you have liked before, just because a few people fucked up.

I think before I talk, or didn't you get that? You are talking in total time. For example, I could be doing other things in the 23 hours Shiki isn't spawning, where as I just have to sit at Chary. Lets say, the average chary spawn is half of the total, the average, 8 hours. So, you sit at Chary for 8 hours. Or, you go to shiki for an hour, no drop, next 21 hours, sit there for an hour, no drop, next 21 hours, sit there for an hour, be generous and say you don't get claim, next 21 hours and say you get claim and drop (it's around 33% drop).

8 hours at Chary, 4 hours at Shiki. Fail.

This is also assuming that Chary spawns late and Shiki spawns late, but these are averages. Also, considering the fact that you can't always get claim on Chary, it could add another 8 hours.

To sum up my last week or two...

IZ MINE BISH!

To make a long story long but a little shorter, this is my "play by play" of each item.

1) Broken Mithra Fishing Rod~

Oh yeah... -_-; I bought the rod for 7k un-broken, and broke it in about 30 mins in Kazham. Ugh.

2) Workbench~

There were none of these up when I went to Kazham. So, I did the "honorable" thing, and synthed some on my mule. I made two! ;;

3) Ten of Coins (Card)~

I grabbed this a while back, took about 3 hours of kill - go afk - kill - go afk etc.

4) Sands of Silence~

Mother f***ing Sands of Silence. There were none up, so I decided to go and farm one. Keep in mind these are 2k on my server.

Ugh, ugh ugh!

I died three times the same way (Sleepga - AM = death), nearly died (tele'd out) three or four times, and killed stuff for about 7 hours until I got the drop. This warrants a SS!

5) Wandering Bulb~

Someone (Myrhh-myrrh) bought this for me after I died farming it. Yeah, sad, I know.

6) Giant Fish Bones~

Took about 4 hours. I got a Paintbrush while I was there though <3. Same deal as Sands, my bro walked in and I got the drop. Yay? You decide.

7) Blackened Toad~

Lol2k. AHd.

8) Wyvern Skull~

Someone organized a group and I tagged along, went like 2/15. Not too shabby.

9) Ancient Salt~

Went about 1/4 on this while helping break Demon's latent (go go Hexa-Shark Bite). I could solo it though, sadly enough (they are DC to me :P).

10) Lucky Egg~

Lol. I was like 1/200 on this. I had camped it two times before for like 3 hours each, then went like 1/7 on it while helping break said latent. I hate drops sometimes.

So, yeah. I look cool now. Maybe? I have noticed I get like 2x more /c's now.

Oh yeah, I'm going to level NIN soon. After I get O. Kote (0/30+, I suck at life -_-;), Imma get it to 37 and then start a slow static. If anyone in LS that reads this has a 37ish job they want to level on Friday nights, hit me up, un-literally speaking. I should have NIN up there in 2-3 weeks ready to go. Yay dual box farming/PL! (^_^)b I figured I need a static, otherwise I'll never commit to it. =/

That' pretty much sums up 2/3rds of my weekend. First, you may notice one thing, that I am using Hexa Strike. Yay! By brother (Demonwolf, if you didn't know that) helped me skill up to 220. It took like 5-6 hours, but I love it!

Second of all, I killed Bo'Who, and got my shield. Someone in my LS killed him, so I went out 21 hours later and he spawned within 10 or so mins. I HATE this guy, so I'm glad I'm done.

Also, as you can see, My brother got teh paragons of THF excellence. Remember, I helped you, bitch!

The other thing I did was camp Ose for my brothers birthday. After about 4-5 hours (-_-) this happened.

Lol. It popped right on top of me. >_> I would say that we were lucky, but there was no one else camping it.

And, when it was dead (mostly thanks to our NIN - no one else could really hit it), this happened.

So yeah, we got it. While we were doing this, this happened! (Btw, it's the capped club. I also didn't notice the HP until now. >_>).

I also killed the Shaman Cloak NM, no drop, but I did get Stonega II, so I saved myself 80k. All in all, still a succesful (sp, lazy) week. =)

Another short one, since it has only been a day. I managed to get all my BLU spells (except Blank Gaze, which I'm getting soon) up to 40. But, more importantly...

I GOT WAR TO 30! Omg yay. I hated it when it was <20.
Then I played around with a few things on WHM. The second pic was 300TP at 64 (did I mention I got 65? Oh, well I did), but I got one at 65 for 978. Yay. In the first pic, it's the solo ENM. Look at my HP/MP count. I only used one Melon Juice.

I can't think of any witty taglines so I'll just say; "bye".

I was on vacation in Chicago this weekend, so I didn't post anything. Boo.

Something I learned from my vaca though is ~ Cicadas suck. They are the HUGEST bugs ever. And I HATE bugs. Ewwwww........ Luckily they only come out once every 17 years...

So yeah, I leveled my WAR a bit. I got it to 17 from 13 (go go PL) and am getting it PLed soon to 20, then staticing with a friend to 37. So yay.

I also leveled WHM to 64 and a half, trying for 65 today.

That's all my text stuff, so picture time!

This was when me and a few LS members did a sabaton run for Xean and Raider. We went 0/2, and I'm starting to catch Zerayla's notorious scenic routing. It took me like an hour to get to the shaft because I kept getting confused lol.

'nuff said. Imma melee in parties now (joke).

Wow, it was one day and I forgot my password. Oh well. I had to get like 20 e-mails because I had to follow like four consecutive e-mails to check it. Ugh.

Well, I am going to post my screenshots, because I know I'll forget if I don't. @_@

So I me and some LS mates did some avatars, we started with Leviathan, as you can see. I singlehandedly beat the crap out of it. That 75 RDM/NIN helped a little. >_>; Okay, so maybe I sucked, but that's not the point.

Next, we killed Ifrit.

He was easy, easy as pie. And pie is reaaalllly easy.

Then, we went to say hi to our friend Ramuh. However, he doesn't like us, so he fried us. I just wanted to be his friend! ; ;

However, after he de-leveled me, we decided to beat the crap out of him. Mean old man. My true strikes usually do double (was /NIN) that, but only one hit since I killed it.

We also did Garuda, but she sucks so I didn't take any pics.

Soooo after that was done, the LS had an organized naked-subligar level 1 run to Jeuno. I didn't take any in-action pics, but I have the "gathering".

But yeah, I came in 4th by default since everyone else had died. Lulz. So I got some gils (thanks Ichi!). Also, I wardrobed in Blessed legs for the subligar, because SE has a twisted mind. You too Zerayla. <_<;

Well, I've decided to start up blogging again. I had one a while ago, but I haven't updated it in about as long as I have check on my choco.

Which is like a year. (I should do that...)

So, I decided to make one here, since I like to look at (talk) some other peoples blogs. Oh wells.

So yeah, I have been bored the past few days, so I decided to visit my favorite mandragora mad scientist friend (as seen at the top). After I gave him a few cornettes, I had still didn't have enough fame to get the avatars. Damn.

So I went to Jeuno and bought a Shining Cloth with my PCC money. My friend just needs 3 levels in cloth now. That won't take too long, I'll make sure of it... /twitch.
